In cooperation with Access America, a preferred partner, AAA.com now offers trip cancellation and interruption insurance during the air ticket purchase process. AAA Insurance Services has tailored this product specifically for AAA.com. TripAssist® Air features and benefits include but are not limited to:
Trip Cancellation and Interruption coverage up to $3000
Travel Delay up to $300
Baggage Delay up to $200
Access to a 24-hour Assistance Hotline
When implemented, the option to select "TripAssist Air Travel Insurance Protection" will be displayed on the Flight Details page below the users flight information. When selected, the Flight Detail screen will refresh and display the new price which includes the cost of the Insurance Protection. The Insurance Protection will be referenced to the user on the Payment Information page, Air Confirmation page and Air Confirmation e-mail. Access America will also send a Confirmation e-mail directly to the user that contains the users Policy number.
The Implementation Guide provides all the details regarding the implementation process for this functionality. Please note that you need to register with Access America before you can turn on this functionality.
