With AutoMaker
functionality, there are several ways to research new cars. You can zero-in
on a model and find out features, option packages, manufacturer's suggested
retail price, and more. You can also search for vehicles by choosing the
features that are most attractive to you. Different makes and models can
also be compared with a few clicks of your mouse.
As part of Release 79, a new automotive Internet technology platform to enhance the auto buying research tools on AAA.com was released. The new AAA AutoMaker platform, powered by Zag.com, Inc., replaces the current functionality, AAA AutoMaker, delivered by Autofusion.
The new AutoMaker provides easy to use, state-of-the-art technology to help visitors research new cars and make an informed buying decision. Visitors can zero-in on a model and find out about features, option packages, manufacturers retail price, dealer invoice for the vehicle, and much more. They can select a vehicle by model or body style, and different makes and models can be compared with a few clicks of the mouse. New features also include a dynamic vehicle color chooser, 360-degree views of interiors and exteriors, and improved photo galleries. A significant advantage of the tool is that it functions as a gateway to other revenue generating services, such as financing, insurance and extended warranties.

Please note that Clubs are responsible for updating any links associated with these three pages. Even AES pages that are using direct links to access the Car Buying page will need to be updated. (See Linking Instructions listed below)

Webmasters are asked to change their current Autofusion links to the new
provider (http:/aaa.zag.com) by December 12, 2008. After
that date the current provider will no longer be available. AES
clubs have received this functionality automatically, no change is necessary.

The Partner Redirect page should be used in place of direct links to the vendor. The redirect page has been created to automatically pass the required parameters to the AutoMaker web site and count the number of user visits using Webtrend Data Collection System (DCS). The redirect page will require the user to login prior to directing them to the AutoMaker website. The redirect page will invoke the "Remote Sign In" functionality.
